Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Engineering and Sciences
The Center for Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences (PECOS) at The University of Texas at Austin has openings for Post-Doctoral Scholars and Research Associates to develop computational methods and algorithms for verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification of computer models for predictive simulations of complex physical phenomena. We are looking for applicants with a solid background in numerical and functional analysis, discretization and theory of partial differential equations, scientific computing, and in at least one of the following topics: stochastic partial differential equations, statistics, probabilities, or inverse problems. Experiences in large-scale parallel code development, in C++, and in modern software engineering practices are also essential. Applicants must have a Doctorate in Engineering, in Applied Mathematics, or in any related field. This is a security sensitive position.
To apply for this position, please send a cover letter indicating your interest, a current CV, and the names and contact information of at least three references to Prof. Moser at the following email address: pecos_recruit@ices.utexas.edu. The University of Texas at Austin is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
